2017 Best Practices Summit
Monday October 16 – Wednesday 18
plus a one-day pre-conference workshop on recovery capital Sunday October 15
Be part of NARR’s annual conference, entirely dedicated to best practices in the operation of recovery residences. The event will feature three days of presentations, panels and participant discussion. This year’s conference will feature a reception on Monday evening for all conference attendees, and for our friends in the recovery movement.
This year’s conference will feature an outstanding lineup of speakers, so check back soon for more details.
Presenters and panelists are industry leaders. Most have extensive backgrounds in founding, operating and expanding recovery residences. You’ll also hear from specialists in housing rights, risk management, and building strong referral relationships.
In just a few short years this conference has become the focal point of a national provider network, based on standards, professionalism and accountability. NARR now has affiliates in 23 states, with more in development. Be part of this growing community by joining us in October!
This year we are offering a very special one-day pre-conference workshop featuring Dr. David Best, Professor and Head of Criminology at Sheffield Hallam University, UK. Dr. Best is a widely cited author and lecturer on the subject of recovery capital, and how its principles can be applied in recovery residences to assist residents in achieving their personal recovery goals. This workshop carries an additional charge, and requires a separate registration (available below). You may also register for both the conference and the workshop, for a significant savings over purchasing separately.
Who should attend?
Whether you’re a long-established recovery residence services provider, are just starting out, or maybe thinking of entering the field, this conference will speak to your needs. Participants include some of the country’s best recovery residences. Other speakers and participants are treatment program operators, mental health service providers, state government officials, therapists, addiction counselors and others.
