Faith-Based Community of Practice

NARR FAITH-BASED COP LOGO FINAL

Supporting faith-based recovery residences through collaboration, education, and excellence grounded in the NARR Standard.

The NARR Faith-Based Community of Practice brings together recovery housing leaders, faith communities, practitioners, and partners from across the nation to strengthen recovery outcomes through shared learning, evidence-based practices, and collaboration.

Why This Community Exists

Faith-based recovery residences have long played a significant role in helping individuals achieve lasting recovery from substance use disorders. Across the country, providers have expressed a growing need for connection, collaboration, and support around the unique opportunities and challenges they face.

The NARR Faith-Based Community of Practice was established to create a national forum where faith-based recovery residence operators can learn from one another, share best practices, explore emerging opportunities, and strengthen recovery outcomes while remaining grounded in the NARR Standard.

This Community of Practice serves as a place for education, encouragement, innovation, and leadership development for organizations committed to both recovery excellence and faith-informed service.

Mission

To encourage, support, and promote faith-based recovery residences within the ethos and framework of the NARR Standard, ethics, and the four levels of recovery residences.

Vision

To provide faith-based recovery residence programs a community of support where members can learn, collaborate, and share evidence-based best practices that promote recovery for persons affected by substance use disorders.

Our Values

Always operating with integrity and ethics • The NARR standard is a foundational bedrock • Service to others is what we do • Fostering better outcomes for persons in recovery is our ultimate goal • All pathways of recovery shall be respected and honored
